How It All Started

Malatesta Paladino was founded in 1985 by Carmine Malatesta, President, and Michael Paladino, Vice President. The company started with just one pickup truck, one dump truck, and a compressor — and the two founders handled everything themselves, including writing payroll checks from their truck.

What began as a modest operation out of a small garage has grown steadily over 40 years into a full-service commercial contracting firm. Trusted by some of New York City’s most prominent building owners, property managers, and institutions. That growth is the result of one consistent principle: doing the job right, every time.
