Michael Paladino
President

I entered the construction industry at the age of 17, learning the trade hands-on through my family business. My early experience involved chopping, forming, and pouring concrete, which laid the foundation for my future in the field. I worked alongside my family until 1983. In 1985, I met Carmine Malatesta, who was working independently in masonry at the time. After successfully bidding on our first project in New York City, we decided to partner. Our first project together involved building a chimney and a basement concrete floor. On Good Friday, April 5, 1985, we officially formed Malatesta Paladino, Inc.

I began my career with Malatesta Paladino in 1986, starting as a carpenter’s helper while working nights for a dry-cleaning business. It was during one of those deliveries that I met Carmine Malatesta, who would eventually become my business partner. He asked for my contact information for future work.

Patrick Pallentino

My connection with Malatesta Paladino began long before I joined the company. During my middle and high school years, I spent a lot of time at the Paladino home, where I was inspired by Michael Paladino’s incredible work ethic. Watching him transition seamlessly from job sites to working around his home left a lasting impression on me. By the age of 14, my curiosity had grown, and I asked Michael if I could join him at work. In the summer of 1992, between 10th and 11th grade, I got my first shot. Without a car or a driver’s license, Michael picked me up every morning, and I worked on sidewalks and projects across the five boroughs.

Under his leadership, the company became known for its high-quality work on some of the city’s most iconic structures, including the Empire State Building, CBS headquarters, Ralph Lauren, and JFK International Airport.

His ability to bring people together and cultivate a team of skilled craftsmen allowed Malatesta Paladino, Inc. to thrive, earning a reputation for precision, reliability, and unmatched service.
